School opening postponed to Dec 13-Gabion Mattress
The reopening of 91 schools run by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has been postponed from Dec 6 to Dec 13 due to high flood levels, Bangkok deputy governor Taya Teepsuwan said Wednesday.
The schools that will reopen on Dec 6 will have five-hour classes every Saturday between Dec 10 and March 3,Gabion Mattress, she said.
As for the schools that will resume classes on Dec 13,Froc mulls disbanding as emergency phase ends-hesco bastion, there will be five-hour classes every Saturday from Dec 10 to March 3 and every Sunday from Dec 18 to Jan 15.
Following the reopening, studying hours on weekdays will be also extended from 3pm to 4pm until Feb 27 next year due to the postponement, the deputy governor added.

Previously, the BMA postponed the reopening of schools under its jurisdiction from Dec 1 to Dec 6 or later because of the flooding in the capital.

Flexibility
The base section of the Reno mattress is divided into compartments and filled with stones at the project site. With lids secured, Reno mattresses form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures.
Reno mattresses are environmentally friendly products. The blending of Reno mattress structures into the environment is rapid and pleasing. The voids in the rockfill become progressively filled with silt,钢格板, promoting vegetation growth which is essential to the preservation and maintenance of the ecological balance of the surrounding environment.
Cost Effective, Easy to Build
The stone fill allows the water to seep through the structure while retaining the soil,gabion-Concertainer Gabions, therefore no additional drainage is required to relieve the hydrostatic pressures.
This is a mattress shaped version of the gabion used mainly for erosion control when the retaining properties of box gabions are not required.
Their strength lies in their double twisted hexagonal mesh of steel wire which is reinforced by selvedges of heavier wire running along the edges.
The base section is divided into compartments to restrict the movement of stone and strengthen the structure.
The lid is supplied as a separate panel.
The wire will not unravel even when cut.
Assembly is easy,football fence, requiring no specialized labor and nearby rock is used for fill.
Free drainage and 30-35% voids allow vegetation to grow.
Reno mattress construction does not require skilled labor because they are very easy to build. Standard construction equipment can be used. Structures can be built in stages, if necessary, and baskets can be prefilled and launched to enable the installation under water. Site assistance is available from any Maccaferri area office.

Filled with sand, 60 centimetres (24 inches) of barrier
thickness will stop rifle bullets and shell fragments. It takes 1.5

Assembling the HESCO bastion entails unfolding it and (if
available) using a front end loader to fill it with sand, dirt or
gravel. The placement of the barrier is generally very similar to
the placement of a sandbag barrier or earth berm except that room
must generally be allowed for the equipment used to fill the
barrier. The main advantage of HESCO barriers, strongly
contributing to their popularity with troops and flood fighters,reno mattress, is
the quick and easy setup. Previously,chain link fence, people had to fill sandbags,
a slow undertaking,razor fence, with one worker filling about 20 sandbags per
hour. Workers using HESCO barriers and a front end loader can do
ten times the work of those using sandbags.[6]

barriers can also be stacked, and they are shipped collapsed in
compact sets. Example dimensions of typical configurations are 4’6”

Originally designed for use on beaches and marshes for erosion and flood control,[1] the
HESCO Bastion quickly became a popular security device in the
1990s.[2] Hesco
barriers continue in use for their original purpose. They were used
in 2005 to reinforce levees around New Orleans in the few days
between Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.[3] During
the June 2008 Midwest floods
27,000 feet of Hesco barrier wall were shipped to Iowa.[4] In late
March, 2009,welded gabion box, 35,000 feet of Hesco barrier were delivered to Fargo,
North Dakota to fight floods.

Gabion are box like units,chain wire, generally of length either 2M or 4M and with a height of either 0.5m or 1m. Reno Mattress product is generally of larger plan area,star picket, typically 6m x 2m,fence post, but are much thinner in depth with typical dimensions ranging between 0.17 m and 0.5 m. All units are supplied folded flat to site and the customer must fabricate the supplied unit to size,Y Post, join one unit to another to form the required structure,gabion basket, fill with suitable stone and complete the closure of the unit such that a stable structure is constructed. Gabion are ideal for use in retaining structures that have unfavourable foundation conditions. Gabion are quite flexible and can accommodate significant ground movement without catastrophic failure. Reno Mattress is an alternative to replace traditional rock armour treatments of structures against water erosion and scour. By encapsulating rock within a mesh layer,reno mattress, the effective shear capacity of such rock is increased providing additional protection against potential scour or erosive forces generated by water.
The wire that has been traditionally used in the manufacture of these Gabion and Reno Mattress products supplied into Australia has been heavily galvanised and then may have extruded to the core wire a coating of PVC to provide additional protection. More recently there have been other coatings applied to the wire that purport to enhance the resistance of such wires to corrosion.
Gabion and Reno Mattress structures are generally formed by the weaving of wire (of varying diameter) into mesh which is then QiaoShi Gabion factory fabricated into Gabion box cages (of varying size) which are then site filled with stone to form dry-land structures such as retaining walls or in wet-land structures such as weirs or riverbank linings.
